My name’s Ben and I grew up in Cronulla right next to the beach; the ocean has been my best friend for as long as I can remember. In fact, my love for photography began with taking photos of the ocean, whether it was my friends surfing or landscape photos of all the beautiful beaches and scenes around Cronulla.
I started to gain recognition for my photography and soon began booking fashion shoots, working at events and other gigs.
Photography was never a full-time commitment; I worked as a carpenter for several years, I guess because it was comfortable and it paid the bills. But although I could only work on it part-time, photography was always my main passion.
I soon realised that being a carpenter wasn’t going to give me the satisfaction I needed in life; I wanted to look forward to Mondays and knew that working as a wedding photographer in Cronulla was the next logical step to achieving my dream.
